BLS - Basic Life Support
Who Should take this course?
Healthcare providers include physicians, nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, physician’s assistants, medical or nursing students in training, aides, medical or nursing assistants, police officers, dental offices and other allied health personnel.
BLS Full course - instructor led course
This is an instructor-led, in-person, classroom-based approach where the core knowledge content is provided using scenario-based video segments and the opportunity for instructor-facilitated student practice. BLS certification class is designed to train Healthcare Providers to respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies for adult, child and infants victims with focus on team-based responses. BLS builds on the foundation of critical thinking, problem solving and team dynamic skills that are needed to drive better patient outcome. This video-based, instructor-led course teaches both single-rescuer and team Basic Life Support skills for application in both in-facility and prehospital settings.
Instructor Led Duration: This class is approximately 4.5 hours to complete, including skills practice and skills testing.
Certification: 2 year BLS certificate. RC, AHA or ASHI depending on what provider you need.
BLS Review Class
A review class is design to give individuals the opportunity to review the course content within a formal setting. The format optimizes a participant’s ability to successfully complete the knowledge and skill evaluation. To be eligible to participate in the BLS Review Course, the participant must possess a current Basic Life Support certification (current or expired no more than 30 days).
Instructor Led Review Class Duration: This class is approximately 2-3 hours to complete, including skills practice and skills testing.
Certification: 2 year BLS certificate. RC, AHA or ASHI depending on what provider you need.
BLS Blended Learning
Blended learning is a combination of online and in-person learning. Core knowledge content is provided in video segments and interactive student exercises online followed by in-person skill checks.
Blended Learning Class Duration: The e-learning portion of the blended learning course is designed to be completed in approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. The in-person skill check is designed to be taught in 2 hours.
Certification: 2 year BLS certificate. RC, AHA or ASHI depending on what provider you need.
CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer ARC
Who Should take this course?
The purpose of the American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers course is to train professional-level rescuers to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children and infants until more advanced medical personnel take over. This program is offered in both traditional instructor-led and blended learning delivery types. Course designed for the rescuer who has a duty to respond or anyone with the desire for advanced CPR knowledge, lifeguards, paramedics, firemen and policemen.
There are two delivery methods available for the CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers course— classroom and blended learning. The blended learning option combines online learning with in-person skill sessions conducted by a Red Cross-certified instructor. Participants in blended learning courses acquire the same knowledge and skills as those in traditional classroom training courses.
This is an instructor-led, in-person, classroom-based approach where the core knowledge content is provided using scenario-based video segments and the opportunity for instructor-facilitated student practice Course content includes: recognizing and caring for breathing and cardiac emergencies in an Adult, Child, and Infant, Two-Rescuer CPR, Airway Obstruction, use of an AED, use of Resuscitation Mask and BVM.
In the blended learning course, the online component has been designed to instruct participants in the knowledge-based aspects of the CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers program, along with introducing them to the skills they will practice and master during the instructor-led portion of the training.
Instructor Led Duration: This class is approximately 6 hours to complete, including skills practice and skills testing.
Blended Learning Duration: 3 hours of eLearning followed by a 3 hour in-person skill session

CPR/AED and First Aid
ARC/AHA/ASHI
Who Should take this course?
These classes are designed for individuals with limited or no medical training, who need a CPR/AED certification card for either personal reasons, or for work purposes in order to meet job, regulatory or other requirements. This class is perfect for the layperson, such as: parents, babysitters, fitness instructors, educators, childcare professionals, coaches, camp counselors, correctional officers, security guards, corporate response teams, etc. This class is not for the healthcare provider or any medical/nursing student (please see BLS Class for Healthcare Providers)
CPR/AED
This course is designed for the lay responder. This class teaches the skills necessary to overcome reluctance to act in emergency situations and to recognize and care for life-threatening respiratory or cardiac emergencies. Through “hands-on” training and video demonstrations, students will learn the standard protocols for administering proper CPR techniques and understand when and how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED).

Certification: 2 Years ARC, AHA or ASHI certification depending on what Provider you requested.
FIRST AID
First Aid is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services arrives. Students learn duties and responsibilities of first aid rescuers; first aid actions for medical emergencies, including severe choking, heart attack, and stroke; and skills for handling injury and environmental emergencies, including external bleeding, broken bones and sprains, and bites and stings.
Instructor Led Duration: This class is approximately 3 hours to complete, including skills practice and skills testing.
Certification: 2 Years ARC, AHA or ASHI certification depending on what Provider you requested.
CPR/AED Pediatric
Pediatric classroom courses are Instructor-led, video based programs that feature group interaction with hands-on coaching and feedback. It teaches childcare providers and others to perform Child and Infant CPR in the first few minutes until professional help arrives, The course teaches skills using the latest research-proven techniques, which allows Instructors to observe students, provide feedback, and guide students’ learning of skills..

Blended Learning
All these courses are available as Blended Learning course. This allows you the flexibility to learn at your own pace and on your own schedule; anywhere and anytime an internet connection is available. Blended Learning combines online learning with a hands-on skills session. The skills session is completed in person.
Emergency Medical Response
ARC/ASHI
Who Should take this course?
The intended audience for the Emergency Medical Response (EMR) courses includes individuals who will be in, or are preparing for, a job or role that requires an emergency medical response certification. Participants will include traditional EMS and public safety personnel, such as law enforcement and fire rescue personnel, but also business/industry/industrial response team members, security personnel, event and crowd control staff, lifeguards, park rangers, workplace and community Emergency Response Team (ERT) and others with a duty to respond.
Emergency Medical Response
The primary purpose of the American Red Cross Emergency Medical Response course is to provide the participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to work as an emergency medical responder (EMR) to help sustain life, reduce pain and minimize the consequences of injury or sudden illness until more advanced medical personnel take over. This program is design to provide non-EMS responders with more depth and exposure to standard first aid training topics to provide richer and more advance training. It meets and exceeds workplace first aid training requirements and satisfies the desire to learn more than just basic first aid.
We only offer this course through the American Red Cross or American Health and Safety Institute. The Emergency Medical Response program is designed for in-person classroom delivery only, no blended learning.
Instructor Led Duration: This class is approximately 50 to 56 hours to complete, including skills practice and skills testing.
