If the Online Course is not in constant use, the program may time-out and course work may be lost. Be sure to log out if you decide to take a break and screen shot each section you complete.

NEHST does not have administrative access to the American Red Cross Online Learning Center website OR American Heart Association online website. American Red Cross Online Courses

Blended Learning combines online learning with in-person skills sessions conducted by a Red Cross-certified instructor. The new blended learning courses build the same knowledge and skills as our traditional classroom training courses. Once the online session has been successfully completed, students practice skills and are assessed by the instructor during the in-person skills session.

American Heart Association Online Courses

Heartsaver blended learning delivers quality resuscitation education regardless of where providers are located and gives them more control to complete the course at their own pace. Providers first complete the online portion of Heartsaver chosen course and then complete a hands-on skills session with an AHA BLS Instructor.

  2. Pay for the Blended Learning content to AHA
  3. Launch Course
  4. After completing the online portion of the course, you must complete a hands-on session (SOLD SEPARATLEY) with an AHA Training Center to obtain a course completion card. Contact NEHST for more details or to schedule a hands-on session.
  5. Bring proof of online course completion to class

American Safety and Health Institution Online Courses

COVID-19 GUIDELINES

The health and safety of our students and instructors is of utmost importance. We are following American Heart Association and Red Cross class safety guidelines, as well as guidance from the CDC, state and local health officials.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

We are taking extra safety precautions to ensure the safety of our students and instructors:

  • More Blended Learning class options to limit in-class sessions to one hour
  • Smaller class sizes to maintain safe distancing of at least 6 feet between students
  • Face masks are required to be worn upon entry of the class.
  • Temperature is taken upon entry of the class.
  • Strict sanitizing of all equipment and classroom surfaces
  • No shared equipment among students
  • No student-to-student skill practice

For your safety, as well as the safety of other students and our instructors, please DO NOT attend class if you are not feeling well. We will be happy to reschedule you to another class at no additional fee.
